GETTING STARTED
In February of 1985 Salem Organization for Local Various Emergencies, also known as S.O.L.V.E. was born. We started in a small backroom office at the Hart building, and now own our building and retail shop on 4th street. We are in no way connected with federal, state, county, city, or any government funding. We have been and will remain fully funded and supported by the community which we serve. We have received volunteers from throughout the community and several different churches, to include Sacred Heart, Salem Christian, First Baptist, Salem Church of Christ, Oak Grove Baptist and more. We have received funding through the years by different churches, businesses, organizations, and individuals around the community.
